I am a practical, safety-focused professional with over twelve years in mineral processing and project supervision, now pursuing a career in IT infrastructure and systems administration.
My background is in leading teams through commissioning, operations, and complex infrastructure projects — work that demanded rigorous fault-finding, process documentation, and stakeholder management. Those skills translate directly to IT: diagnosing issues methodically, managing change safely, and keeping systems reliable.
I have built and manage a full homelab environment running Proxmox with virtualised pfSense, Ubuntu servers, Docker containers via Portainer, and segmented VLANs. I am comfortable with Windows Server and Active Directory, Linux administration (Debian and Arch), and network security fundamentals. I write Python and PowerShell to automate routine tasks.
